I have just completed going through a truly excellent course on social media marketing using Twitter by Veronica Pullen.
One of the key issues business people often wrestle with is how use social media in way that generates a worthwhile return on time and dollars invested. I personally believe this issue will increase in importance over time as the ‘shiny new object’ aspects of social media wear off.
Here’s what I learnt in going through this course:

Mindset is the crucial part of marketing that is often overlooked but if you get your mindset right at the start everything else becomes easier.
- I immediately used some things learnt in the course to find 3 hot leads for my business. One of which is a good chance of becoming a long-term client. There are few courses I can say give such immediately useful information. I can’t reveal the method without giving away the course material but I will say it can be applied to a wide range of businesses.
- In order to gain a client they need to know, like and trust you. Veronica covers doing this in the context of Twitter very effectively. Many of us use Twitter already but if you follow the advice she gives in this area you are almost certain to see a better return on time and dollars invested.
